1.What is Chlorinated polyethylene?
Chlorinated polyethylene is a saturated polymer material, white powder in appearance, non-toxic and tasteless, with excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, and good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring properties. Good toughness (flexibility at -30°C), good compatibility with other polymer materials, and high decomposition temperature.
2.How do we make Chlorinated polyethylene in China?
1)At present, domestic chlorinated polyethylene (EPC) manufacturers use 5m3, 6.3m3 or 12. 5m3 glass-lined reactors for chlorination reaction devices in the production process of chlorinated polyethylene;
2)Such reactors have small volumes,small batches of products and unstable performance;
3)The glass-lined reactor adopts the enamel baffle as the temperature measurement point. Because the glass-lined heat insulation effect is good, the reaction temperature lags seriously, and the temperature can lag 2~5 Celsius during the heating process, resulting in unstable temperature control and large fluctuations in product quality;
4)Meanwhile, glass-lined reactors usually use single-layer three-blade paddle agitator, with small stirring blades. The materials rotate in a circle in the reactor without up and down movement. The weak stirring strength leads to prolonged reaction time and low production efficiency;
5)Limited by the volume of the reactor, the cost of automatic control is too high, and manual control has a large human factor, which will affect the quality of the product.
Based on the above reasons,a special designed glass lined reactor specially developed by our company for preparing chlorinated polyethylene(EPC).
3.EPC usage glass lined reactor features:
1)The design structure of the glass lined reactor includes a base;
2)The four corners of the lower end of the base are fixedly connected with a supporting mechanism;
3)The upper end of the base is fixedly connected with the glass lined reactor.
4)Both sides of the upper end of the glass lined reactor are provided with feed channels;
5)A chlorine gas inlet pipe is provided on one side of the upper end of the glass lined reactor.
6)One end of the chlorine gas inlet pipe penetrates the side wall of the glass lined reacor and extends to the inside of the glass lined reactor.
7)The upper end of the glass lined reactor is fixedly connected with a rotating motor;
8)The end of the rotating motor output shaft penetrates the inner wall of the glass lined reactor and is fixedly connected with a rotating shaft;
9)The lower end of the rotating shaft is fixedly connected with a connecting plate.
10)The utility model has a compact structure, a plurality of stirring mechanisms are arranged in the glass lined reactor to improve the uniformity of stirring and
improving the reaction efficiency and the reaction effect.
